A newlywed couple embarks on a vacation to the enchanting shores of the Mediterranean
In a private ceremony held at the Old Town Hall in Weiden, Germany, Gaby Huebner and Lydia Armer officially became a married couple in 2021. The wedding was officiated by Jutta Porsche, a registrar, and witnessed by their children, Sonja Hannes and Christian Huebner.
The couple, who met in the early 90s through their work with the trade union IG BCE, have a rich history together. Both have been married before, but this union marks a new chapter in their lives.
Gaby Huebner, a union secretary in the North East Bavaria district, and Lydia Armer, who serves as an honorary deputy district chair, have made significant contributions in their respective fields. Their colleagues, friends, and family gathered to congratulate the newlyweds with champagne on the town hall steps.
In a heartwarming gesture, Emily Hannes, granddaughter of Lydia Armer, served as the flower girl. The couple has planned a honeymoon cruise on the Mediterranean in May.
Thomas Knoëtig, who had health concerns about diving in the past, has overcome his reservations and, along with his partner Stefanie, has opened a diving school in Kaltenbrunn. The couple's love for adventure is evident in their new venture.
The wedding was followed by an ecumenical service on the Fronberg in Hahnbach. Pastor Birner and Dean Dittmar agreed that it's time for unity in faith, making the celebration even more meaningful.
Meanwhile, in other news, Martina Englhardt-Kopf, a CSU politician, has been State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture for 100 days. She feels at home in her hometown of Schwandorf.
Elsewhere in Weiden, a Weidener is seeking to change his name due to repeated harassment, but the process is complex. In a more serene setting, there is an inn called Waldschänke with no electricity or water connection in the Osterhöhle.
Lastly, Cédric Klapisch's film "The Colors of Time" has captured the hearts of many. This film weaves together the late 19th century and the present in a near-magical way, while Cédric Klapisch's other film, also titled "The Colors of Time," travels through time in Paris. The second part of the beer garden series has yet to announce a location or specific event.
As they celebrate their new union, Gaby Huebner and Lydia Armer, both well-respected figures in their respective fields of union work and politics, are also looking forward to a change in their home-and-garden lifestyle, having planned a honeymoon cruise on the Mediterranean in May. In another exciting development, Thomas Knoëtig, who once had reservations about diving, has since overcome his fears and, along with his partner Stefanie, has set up a diving school, showcasing their shared love for travel and adventure.
