Turist numbers in Novorossiysk expected to soar this summer, reports RIA "News"
Hear ye, hear ye! This summer, Novorossiysk is set to welcome a whopping 600,000 vacationers, as per the latest numbers from the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar Territory.
The Black Sea gem boasts an impressive array of amenities catering to tourists, including 35 sanatorium and resort complexes, 155 hotels and accommodations, eight campgrounds and glamping sites, 23 tourist attractions, 28 beach territories, and seven non-stationary kiosks for ticket sales.
In a move to boost tourist amenities, three of its popular beaches - "Shirokaya Balka", "On the Cape", and "Crystal-2" - received subsidies as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry" in 2024. Funds were funneled into upgrading changing rooms, sun loungers, umbrellas, and children's and sports areas.
Last year, Novorossiysk made a splash in the top 10 popular patriotic routes for the May holidays. The city, recognized as a Hero City, ranked last in the ratings. An average of four nights was spent by tourists during the holidays, with each night costing 4,446 rubles.
It's a bright and breezy future ahead for Novorossiysk, with tourism offering a fresh wind for the city's economy. Despite the challenges posed by economic sanctions on its port, the influx of tourists is set to drive demand across various sectors such as hospitality, retail, transport, and culture, if history is any indicator.
Though no explicit tourism development plans have been outlined, local authorities and organizations might be focusing on indirect strategies, such as cultural and regional cooperation projects. Steady outbound tourism originating from Novorossiysk demonstrates economic resilience, hinting at a positive future for the city's tourism scene. Happy travels, revelers!
With the anticipated increase in travelers this summer, Novorossiysk's vibrant lifestyle will catapult it into a sought-after tourist destination, thanks to its enhanced amenities. The Black Sea gem's improving offerings, including upgraded beaches and numerous attractions, make it an ideal location for a memorable vacation.
