Bergisch Gladbach's recent 'Fair Week' concluded with great enthusiasm for Fairtrade, as Nesrin Hussein and Okan Soylu won fair footballs. The event, organized by the Fairtrade steering group, saw many visitors engage with Fairtrade topics and enjoy various events.
The 'Fair Week', held from September 12 to 26, 2025, attracted many visitors interested in Fairtrade. The Fairtrade steering group organized numerous offers and events, including a successful 'Aromas of the World' event at the city library. Renate Beisenherz-Galas read from 'Fair for future' and explained the origins of world shops and fair trade.
The One World Shop hosted a wine tasting after the reading, inviting the audience to participate. Over 150 people tried their luck in the guessing game at the WIR-mobile, with two fair footballs and packets of fair-traded coffee up for grabs. Despite no organization using the WIR-Mobile participating in the 2025 Stadt- und Kulturfestival, the Fairtrade steering group's presence was well-received.
