Celebration theme for Saudi National Day announced: Honoring Our Natural Heritage
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has revealed an inspiring and modern visual identity for its 95th National Day, scheduled for September 23. The theme for this year's celebration is "Pride in Our Nature," a phrase visually constructed using bold, block-like forms that symbolize heritage, unity, and national pride.
The National Day's identity comprises six main illustrations, each representing a distinct national trait. Ambition is represented by Tuwaiq Mountain, symbolizing resilience and a high-reaching national spirit. This symbolism is inspired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's famous quote comparing Saudi ambition to the steadfastness of the iconic mountain.
Generosity is symbolized by the dallah (traditional coffee pot) and finjan (coffee cup), representing Saudi hospitality. Faz'ah (solidarity and aid) is symbolized by crossed hands, inspired by a gesture by the crown prince. Hospitality is highlighted as a commitment to philanthropy and supporting others in the Kingdom.
A dedicated typeface has been developed to complement the identity, available in multiple font weights. The official logo features geometric typography fused with patterns inspired by traditional Saudi weaving techniques. The logo's integrity is protected, it must not be altered, redrawn, or manipulated in any way.
The new identity also includes a wide range of ready-to-use assets such as visuals of Saudi leadership, templates for advertisements, product applications, and digital resources for download at https://nd.gea.gov.sa. Each illustration is paired with a unique color identity, and supported by three secondary pattern designs.
Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia's strategic road map for development and transformation, is incorporated as a future-focused trait in the identity. This year's National Day's identity is a tribute to the character, values, and ambitions that define the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The announcement of the theme was made by Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and chairman of the Saudi Boxing Federation. The approved hashtag for public and official use for online participation is #SaudiNationalDay95.
As the nation prepares to celebrate its 95th National Day, the vibrant visual identity serves as a testament to Saudi Arabia's rich heritage and its ambitious future. The celebration is a chance for the nation to come together, reflect on its past, and look forward to its future with pride.
