Etihad Guest Enhances Loyalty Program: New Partners, Award Chart, and Top-up Options
Etihad Airways is set to enhance its Etihad Guest loyalty program with several updates. From March 10, 2023, members can book award flights on American Airlines and Virgin Australia online. However, some sweet spots for redeeming miles on partner airlines like United Airlines and Delta may increase in cost.
The new award chart, effective from March 10, will introduce a zone-based system, making redemption rates uniform across all flights, including Etihad, American, United, Delta, and other partner airlines. This change aims to simplify the redemption process.
Etihad Guest miles can be easily topped up, thanks to several transfer partners. Members can transfer points at a 1:1 ratio from American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Citi ThankYou Rewards. Marriott Bonvoy points can also be converted, with an additional 5,000 miles for every 60,000 Bonvoy points transferred.
Starting March 10, 2023, Etihad Guest members can book award flights on American Airlines and Virgin Australia online. While some partner award redemptions on airlines like United and Delta may become more expensive, the new zone-based award chart promises a more straightforward redemption process. Etihad Guest miles can be conveniently topped up from various transfer partners, including Google Flights for booking convenience.
