Exciting sea swells meet small watercraft at the Beach Resort Event!
During July 2021, the Pikmin Bloom app introduced a thematic, seasonal event themed around summer and the beach. The Beach Resort Event, which ran from July 1 at 12:00 a.m. local time until July 31 at 11:59 p.m. local time, offered a variety of in-app content and rewards for players.
One of the main attractions of the event was the introduction of Surfboard Keychain Decor Pikmin, a new type of Pikmin that players could obtain by clearing Event Challenge missions. These missions randomly rewarded players with items such as Sea Glass, flower petals, and seedlings that would grow into one of seven types of Surfboard Keychain Decor Pikmin. The event encouraged outdoor walking with a vacation-ready Pikmin squad, blending gameplay with real-world activity. The game is free to start, but optional in-game purchases were available. A persistent internet and compatible smartphone were required to play, and data charges may apply.
Players could obtain Sea Glass pieces through Event Challenge rewards, flower planting, Mystery Boxes from destroyed Seafoam Mushrooms, and in-app purchases like the Event Premium Pass, limited-time bundle pack, or Web Store Exclusive Bundle Pack. However, it's important to note that Sea Glass pieces have no purpose outside of this event.

Once the event ends, Sea Glass missions will disappear, and joining a Seafoam Mushroom battle after the event is over in your time zone will not result in receiving a Mystery Box. Giant Seafoam Mushrooms, containing a rare type of Mystery Box, may be encountered on weekends during the event.
