Cathay Pacific Expands Its Reach Across Australia and New Zealand

Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific is set to enhance its presence in the region, with a significant increase in flight frequencies and the addition of new destinations across Australia and New Zealand.

Starting from 27 October 2025, Cathay Pacific will operate double daily flights to Brisbane and Perth in Australia, increasing the frequency to 14 weekly flights for each city. This expansion will provide more convenience for passengers traveling between Hong Kong and these popular Australian destinations.

In addition, seasonal services will resume to Cairns, operating three times per week from 10 December 2025 to 28 February 2026, and a new seasonal service will start in Adelaide with three weekly flights from 12 November 2025 to 27 March 2026.

For New Zealand, Cathay Pacific will increase flights from Auckland to 11 weekly flights starting 2 December 2025. Seasonal services to Christchurch will also resume earlier in the southern summer season to enhance coverage. Cathay Pacific will operate 11 weekly flights from Christchurch (CHC) in New Zealand starting on 2 December 2025.

Cathay Pacific's expansion in the region is part of a larger strategy, as the airline aims to add 18 new destinations in 2025. This move will further solidify Cathay Pacific's position as a leading carrier, offering booking and timetable options for a wide range of locations, including Europe, North America, Middle East and Africa, Oceania, Asia, and more.
