Festival organizers at Collective Arts unveil revised concert schedule
Collective Arts Festival Returns to Sheridan on August 9th
The Collective Arts Festival is set to return to Whitney Commons Park in Sheridan, Wyoming, on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This annual event, presented by the Bighorn Arts Collective, promises a day filled with art, music, food, and fun for all ages.
The festival will feature an array of live performances, artist showcases, and interactive workshops. Performances will include local acts from Sheridan County, Wyoming, as well as groups from across the nation. Notable acts include Buffalo Little Big Band kicking off the event at 12:30 p.m., Crown Summer at 1 p.m., Oliver Jr. & Dino Rock Musical at 3:45 p.m., and the headlining act, Damn Tall Buildings.
In addition to the performances, attendees can look forward to arts activities, demonstrations, writing workshops, and a special Story Book Garden in partnership with Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library. A highlight of the day will be a ceramics workshop led by Will Lopez of Sheridan, and a paint-and-sip class by The Paint Post (advance registration required).
The Artisan Village, a popular feature of the festival, will showcase makers from across the region. Local food and drink purveyors will also be onsite, including Kona Ice, Colombian Guy Coffeevan, Pete's Za, Fatbacks Southern BBQ, and Last Chance.
The festival is free and family-friendly, with a designated Creation Station offering interactive children's activities. A history of music workshop will be conducted by the musicians in Damn Tall Buildings, and Wyoming Poet Laureate Barbara Smith will give a story interlude at 4:10 p.m.
