Free postcard service available for Palaro athletes and spectators in Ilocos Norte
Ilocos Norte, Philippines – For memorabilia enthusiasts and long-distance communicators alike, a new opportunity has arisen during Palarong Pambansa 2025.
The Office of the Governor of Ilocos Norte and PHLPost have collaborated to introduce a line of Ilocos Norte-themed postcards specifically for the sporting event. These postcards, featuring iconic landmarks such as Saud Beach, the Burgos Windfarm, and the Marcos Stadium, among others, will be available for competitors and spectators to send to their loved ones at no cost.
According to Aian Raquel, the creative director of Palarong Pambansa 2025, the aim is to help athletes traveling to compete in the games reconnect with their loved ones and share their experiences in Ilocos Norte. Each athlete can write to one person and may use multiple postcards, so long as all are sent to the same address.
Non-athletes are limited to one postcard. However, all postcards are pre-stamped, and there are no costs associated with sending them domestically or internationally. Recipients in any part of the Philippines or overseas can expect to receive these postcards within ten days.
The distribution booth can be found outside the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium near the Speech Choir and General Admission entrance. It will be open from 8 am to 5 pm until May 30.
This marks the first time Ilocos Norte has hosted Palarong Pambansa in nearly six decades. The games were officially opened in a grand ceremony on May 24 and will run until May 31, featuring over 15,000 athletes across 34 sports.
