🤔 Hell Yeah, Let's Roll: Check out this rad pic from the 2024 Cycling Days at Lake Dümmer. Despite the crappy weather, Dietrich Pollmann, the chair (y'know, the dude on the right), and his deputy Angelika Lohe, along with legendary tour leaders Alfred Lohe (lefty) and Andreas Richtarsky (front n' center), kept the vibes high.

The second half of 2025 is about to get lit thanks to Gladbeck's Local History Association! Their fresh lineup boasts nearly 50 events, including guided bike tours, historical lectures, and much more to help you explore our lovely homeland in style.

One of the top highlights being the Gladbeck City Exploration, featuring iconic spots like the Mathias-Jakobs-Stadthalle, the music school at Bernskamp, and Overgünne farm. The current focus, "Haus Wittringen in the spotlight," is especially exciting given the magnificent complex's recent listing.

Keeping things interesting are events like the wine tasting with Martin Volmer, organ trip with Konrad Suttmeyer, reading evening with "Bucheckern," and the social cabbage evening. The family research working group—led by the legendary Wolfgang Keuterling—accepts new members anytime. And get ready for awesome bus tours to Dernau's wine festival in the Ahr valley!

To wrap up the year, prepare yourself for the epic special event, "Glabotki ain't going nowhere!" on December 5^{th} at the council chamber. The event, led by Rainer Weichelt, delves into the "Nikolaus ruling" from 1975, celebrating Gladbeck's restoration of independence—this city's second happy birthday party!

"All local history lovers are invited to our events; not just our awesome members," says chairman Dietrich Pollmann. Get ready to soak up Gladbeck's history on the homepage at www.heimatverein-gladbeck.de, or grab a printed copy from city library, "Gladbeck Information," or the Fritz-Lange-Haus.

Bonus Tips: If you're having trouble locating the exact schedule for the second half of 2025, try these tips:
