Korea Welcomes First International Culinary Expo, NICE 2025
The Republic of Korea is set to host its first government-approved international culinary exhibition, the Namdo International Culinary Expo (NICE) 2025, in Mokpo, South Jeolla province. Running from October 1 to 26, the event will showcase the culinary essence of the Namdo region, known for its local ingredients and fermentation techniques, while integrating modern technology and consumer trends.
Among the participating countries, including those from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Viet Nam will be enriching the culinary and cultural landscape from October 1 to 5. This presents an opportunity for cooperation and market development between these international countries and the Republic of Korea.
The expo, themed 'Nature's Dining Table, Namdo: The Future of Sustainable Culinary Industry', aims to enhance the competitiveness of Korean cuisine (K-Food) on the international stage. Traditional Vietnamese dishes are expected to attract significant interest from the Korean public and international visitors.
NICE 2025, with its slogan 'Where Nature Meets Flavour, Where Ocean Greets Taste', is poised to serve as a global culinary industry platform, fostering international cooperation and market development. The participation of ASEAN countries, including Viet Nam, promises to make this inaugural event a diverse and flavourful experience.
