In the heart of Worms, Germany, a new cultural attraction has been unveiled – the "Street of Music". This innovative project, inspired by similar initiatives in Burghausen and Ascona-Locarno, aims to create a unique connection between music, city history, and public space.

The idea for the project was developed by the city's cultural coordination and the Kultur und Veranstaltungs GmbH (KVG). Nine bronze plaques have been set into the ground around Market and Castle Square, each dedicated to former and current "Jazz & Joy" acts.

These include renowned artists such as Kool & The Gang, Joe Cocker, Bob Geldof, Joy Denalane, Bob Dylan, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Candy Dulfer, Al Jarreau, and Albert Mangelsdorff. More star bronze plates will be added to the "Street of Music" in the future, as the project is planned to expand in the coming years.

The "Street of Music" is another enhancement to Worms' downtown area and is funded by the city development initiative "Worms wird wow!". The project aims to evoke memories for festival-goers who have attended "Jazz & Joy" for decades, and it underscores the high-profile status of the event since its inception.

Worms' Mayor Stephanie Lohr (CDU) is responsible for the funding program for the "Street of Music". Katharina Kaiser, Prokuristin of KVG and festival director for "Jazz & Joy", believes that the "Street of Music" embarks on a little time journey together.

The 15th to 17th August of the year 2025 is when "Worms: Jazz & Joy 2025" will take place. For more information about this exciting event, check out the provided article.
