Livin' it up in Sochi! 🌴🏖️

By June's end, the resort was buzzing with an astonishing 83% occupancy rate! A staggering 170,000 travelers were enjoying their summer escapades.

According to Sergei Somko, deputy head of Sochi, hotels in the mountain cluster clock in at a steady 73% occupancy. With July and August around the corner (peak tourist season, y'all!), close attention is being paid to maintain quality and safety for both the local residents and visiting vacationers.

Cleanliness and hygiene standards are in check on all coastlines, with regular sampling ensuring beach water is up to par. Plus, there are now 75 ramps on the pebble beach, making it more accessible for individuals with disabilities. To help folks with mobility issues enjoy the beaches, wheelchairs have been set up at popular spots like "Riviera", "Lazarevsky-1", "Primorsky-1", "Marcel", and "Orange" beaches.

Equipment on the beaches is thoroughly cleaned daily, and beachgoers are treated to safety rules, sanitary guidelines, and anti-terrorism advice over loudspeakers. Security is on point with nearly 2,112 cameras keeping watch, with around 486 of them connected to the "Safe City" monitoring system. Patrols along the beaches and nearby streets have been stepped up, too.

Sochi and Krasnodar have been making travel headlines as they've secured positions among the top 10 destinations for June. 🏆 🔔

P.S.: Interesting facts ahead! In 2025, domestic and international tourism in Sochi is experiencing a resurgence, fueled by new flight routes connecting the city to popular destinations such as Kaliningrad and Yakutsk. Saudi Arabia, in particular, has been sending a growing number of tourists to Sochi, thanks to a streamlined e-visa program and expanded flight connectivity. Western travelers face advisories and airspace restrictions due to geopolitical tensions, but that's not stopping Sochi from paving the way to safe and accessible tourism for its growing markets. 🧳🛫

The ever-increasing numbers of travelers are not only embracing the sunny lifestyle of Sochi, but also contributing to a booming travel industry. With the upcoming peak tourist season, the city is taking substantial measures to upgrade its lifestyle offerings, ensuring both safety and accessibility for its guests.
