Poetry Slam Held at SCALA Kulturstheater on September 14 Featuring Sandra Da Vina

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the SCALA Kulturspielhaus in Wesel will play host to the "Lower Rhine" Poetry Slam. The event, which starts at 7:30 PM, will see the renowned poet Sandra Da Vina taking the stage as both the host and the guest of honour.

The Poetry Slam, a modern poetry competition, will take place at Wilhelmstraße 8-10, 46483 Wesel. Tickets for the event are available for pre-sale at 15,00 Euro and at the door for 20,00 Euro. You can secure your spot by visiting this link.

At the Poetry Slam, the audience decides who the slammers will be in the next round through applause. The jury for the competition will be spontaneously selected from the audience, adding an exciting element of unpredictability to the event.

Sandra Da Vina, a native of Essen, Germany, has made a significant impact in the poetry world. Her first book, "Say it in Neon Letters," was published in spring 2014. In 2014, she also won the NRW Poetry Slam state championships.

Poetry Slams are popular in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with around 30 events taking place in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) alone and over 200 events across the three countries. The "Lower Rhine" Poetry Slam is just one of many events held almost every evening in these regions.

So, if you're a fan of poetry or looking for a unique and engaging evening out, don't miss the "Lower Rhine" Poetry Slam at the SCALA Kulturspielhaus in Wesel. The event ends at 10:00 PM, providing ample time for you to immerse yourself in the world of modern poetry.
