Pork Pie Charity Run 2025 Aims to Raise $500,000 for KidsCan

The Pork Pie Charity Run, inspired by the classic Kiwi film, is back in 2025. This year, it aims to raise $500,000 for KidsCan, supporting children affected by poverty in New Zealand. The event, taking place on April 4-9, will see a diverse range of vehicles, from modern to classics, covering a 2300km route across the country.

Fifty teams have registered for the run, with $374,714 already raised in donations. Among them are first-timers and seasoned participants, including one team that has taken part at least eight times. The event features a 40-60 ratio of modern-to-classic vehicles, with MiniMack, PPIE, and TOYKAR vehicles joining the fleet provided by Mini NZ. Participants can expect a sponsored lunch on day two, along with other surprises.

KidsCan, the beneficiary of the event, provided 5 million food items, 50,000 jackets, and 44,000 pairs of shoes and gumboots to nearly 1100 schools and centers in 2024. With additional funds raised, the charity hopes to support an extra 1500 children in need.

The Pork Pie Charity Run 2025 is set to be an exciting event, bringing together car enthusiasts and philanthropists alike. With the goal of raising $500,000 for KidsCan, the run promises to make a significant impact on the lives of children affected by poverty in New Zealand.
