Three local gardens have been awarded the prestigious 'Naturgarten - Bayern blüht' certification for their natural design and biodiversity. The exhibition, open until October 24, 2025, showcases the district's commitment to sustainability and brings together nature, education, art, and community.
The event, held at the Regensburg District Office, honoured five fruit and garden associations for their work in preserving traditional orchards. The 'Pear beauties - traces and structures of our landscape' photo competition winners were also announced.
The opening saw District Administrator Tanja Schweiger commend the children's creativity and curiosity. Artist Luzie Gerb and Hartmut Schmid shared insights into their community artwork and the project. Larissa Wopperer was congratulated for completing tree warden training in Deutenkofen. The exhibition features prints by children, capturing their impressions of local pear trees and landscapes during nature walks.
The exhibition, titled 'Join in! Discover the beauty of your region's pears', runs until October 24, 2025, during the district office's opening hours. It serves as a testament to the district's dedication to preserving natural heritage and fostering community engagement.
