Xi'an to Almaty Train Journey Kicks Off!
Tourist Train Journey from Sianyang to Kazakhstan Initiated
Catching some serious steam, the inaugural tourist train on the "Xi'an - Almaty" route has blasted off from Xi'an Railway Station, as reported by our crew. KTX was the source citing the details.
The ceremony was a spectacle, drawing representatives from both nations, including Anuar Ahmetjanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "KTZ," and a mix of transportation and tourism organizations, local authorities, business tycoons, scholars, artists, athletes, and journalists.
Ahmetjanov voiced his enthusiasm, stating: "This project is all about building diplomatic relationships, cranking up the cultural chatter, and promoting trade between our countries. We're certain this wild ride will leave our Chinese pals with unforgettable recollections and serve as a launchpad for joint endeavors."
The train's locomotive takes a tour through Urumqi City, a quick halt at the Korgas international border crossing for a technical switcheroo of the wheel pairs, and charges on towards Altynkol Station, heading straight for Almaty.
The gleaming train consists of nine premium carriages that cater to a comfy voyage. The tourist troupe boasts 246 souls, boasting a mix of movers and shakers from business, academia, culture, sports, and media.
Over the subsequent five days, these intrepid travelers will be introduced to the historical and cultural delights Kazakhstan's southern jewel, Almaty, has to offer. The visit itinerary includes guided tours of the city's iconic landmarks, participation in cultural and business events, and face-to-face gatherings with Kazakh tourism and entrepreneurship bigwigs.
Worth noting, this venture is scheduled on the same timeline as the II "Central Asia - China" summit. The train is expected to arrive at Almaty on May 31. The travelers will enjoy a five-day stay in the Kazakh capital.

This joint endeavor celebrates the spirit of the ancient Silk Road, by rekindling the trade connections between China and Central Asia, stimulating collaboration, cultural sharing, and tourism.
