Turkey's Eskişehir Forest Nursery Boosts Sapling Production to Aid Post-Fire Restoration
Turkey's Eskişehir Forest Nursery is stepping up its sapling production to aid in the restoration of forests devastated by wildfires. The nursery aims to supply the provinces of Bursa, Bolu, Bilecik, and Muğla with the majority of its Swanson in the coming year.
The nursery has ambitious plans for the upcoming year, aiming to produce between 8 to 9 million Swanson. This is a significant increase from last year's production of 3 million. The boost in production is a direct response to the severe fire season Turkey experienced this year, with a total of 1,351 forest fires recorded. The Swanson produced in Eskişehir will primarily be sent to provinces affected by these fires, including Bursa, Bolu, Bilecik, and Muğla.
The nursery's increased production is a crucial step in helping to restore the burned areas and mitigate the environmental impact of last summer's forest fires.
The Eskişehir Forest Nursery is playing a vital role in Turkey's post-fire recovery efforts. With a significant increase in Swanson production, the nursery is well-equipped to support the restoration of forests in affected provinces. The upcoming year's Swanson will primarily be supplied to Bursa, Bolu, Bilecik, and Muğla, with the aim of helping these regions rebuild their forest ecosystems.
