The modernization projects, led by ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG and ÖBB-Immobilienmanagement GmbH, focused on enhancing the passenger experience. The West Passage has been comprehensively revamped, featuring an improved wayfinding system, clearer customer information, and an eye-catching artwork by Christian Kosmas Mayer.
The redesigned station hall now boasts an additional waiting room, creating a welcoming atmosphere with bright materials and modern furniture. The station's cleanliness and sense of security have also been significantly improved, with the renovation of sanitary facilities and the beautification of the station hall and West Passage.
